Phillips 66 Jump Starts United Way Campaign

The Phillips 66 - United Way 5th Annual Golf Tournament held at the Ponca City County Club Golf course was a record-breaking success, 200 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day of golf Friday, June 26.

The event raised $59,500.00, which is an increase over last year’s tournament. This event has raised $260,000.00 for United Way of Ponca City and its partner agencies. These funds are put towards campaign to help continue United Way’s mission of creating long-lasting community change. “We really appreciate the dedication and commitment from the Phillips 66 organizing committee”, said Young.  “This event sets the pace for our campaign and we are deeply grateful for their support.” 

Melissa Young, United Way Executive Director, UW staff, partner agency directors, volunteers and P66 volunteers were on hand to help ensure the days outing went smoothly.  Golfers were treated to koozies, golf tees and chap stick donated by participating contractors. Snacks were provided and a lunch was held. A tent was also provided with beverages. “This golf tournament wouldn’t be possible without the support of our contractors,” said Cunningham. “This event keeps getting bigger every year.” 

Awards for the tournament: 1st Place Morning Round Champions-INSERVE, Morning Round A Flight-USI Industrial Service, Team 3, 1st Place Afternoon Round Champions—Parfab, Afternoon Round A Flight-Osage Casinos. “Inside the Circle” game sponsored by Sharon Stieber, Owner, Plaza Wine & Spirits, morning winner-Alex Dickinson, afternoon winner-Dewey Cook. Other game winners for the day were, Jeff Mazurier, Pat Schiltz, Kasi Kinzie, Steve Nikkel, Matthew Atyia and Jason Lane.

Many thanks to Phillips66 and volunteers who helped make the P66-United Way Golf Tournament a great success.
