The Children Win!!!

Smart Start Kay County recently teamed up with the Ponca City Police Department and Ponca City Fire Department to collect books for children.  The two departments did a great job in collecting books at their sites.  Congratulations to the Ponca City Fire Department for collecting the most books!  Thanks to the generosity of both departments and the citizens of Ponca City nearly 500 books were donated during the four week period.  “More than 100 of these books have already been placed in the hands of children in our community to enjoy and learn from,” says Linda Sherrill, special projects coordinator.  “A big thank you from Smart Start Kay County and all the children receiving the books to both departments and the citizens of Ponca City.”
