Pat Mulligan United Way Campaign Chair 2010/2011
 

Pat Mulligan, Associate Vice President and Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors, will serve as United Way campaign chair for the upcoming 2010/2011 campaign. 

Mulligan is deeply committed to our community and to United Way’s mission of improving lives. Pat has a long history of volunteerism in Ponca City which goes beyond his involvement with United Way. He is currently a member of Ponca City Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus, serves as a committee volunteer and as a lector at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and is presently first Vice President of the United Way board of directors. A few of Mulligan’s previous activities include, graduate of Leadership Ponca City, was the Outstanding Citizen of the Year in 1993, served as City Commissioner for three years, chaired the building committee for Peachtree Landing when the shelter opened and had a long time association on the board of trustees of both Westminster Village and the Hospital -- both as Via Christi Regional Medical Center and as Ponca City Medical Center. 

Mulligan will serve as board president in 2011. With the campaign approaching, Pat is working with United Way Executive Director, Melissa Young, to start setting goals, update accounts, and create new ideas to make this a successful campaign. As campaign chair, Mulligan will lead UW of Ponca City’s volunteer cabinet as well as the loaned executives and more than 50 campaign volunteers who provide pledge packets to local businesses.  

“I’m very excited to be chairing this year’s campaign,” said Mulligan. “I have been a volunteer and donor to United Way for many years and know first-hand how important the campaign is for the continuation of local services. The member agency’s funded by the annual campaign make such a big difference in the lives of people in our community.” 

“We are very fortunate to have Pat at the helm during these challenging economic times,” added Mark Detten, President of United Way of Ponca City. “He has the leadership skills, drive and desire to strengthen our community. I am confident that our campaign will be successful under Pat’s leadership.” 

Pat has lived in Ponca City for 33 years.  He has been married to Diane for 38 years and together they have three children, Tim, Danny and Katie.
