2008 United Way of Ponca City Board of Directors
ConocoPhillips 4th Street Clubhouse was the site for United Way of Ponca City’s 69th annual community. Awards were given to campaign cabinet, loaned executives and retiring board and allocation members. A special award was given to West Middle School for a percentage increase of 448%, Ponca City Public Schools for tripling their giving in the last 5 years and Evans and Associates for an increase of 62% over last year’s employee giving. Rhonda Stolhand, United Way board president gave invitees a snapshot of what United Way has accomplished this past year through its sponsored programs and partnerships.

2007 Campaign chair
reported that the goal for 2007-2008 was $760,000. The pioneer spirit of
Oklahoma was alive and well at United Way as hundreds of volunteers asked their
fellow citizens to invest in UW and its member agencies. With a great volunteer
team and a caring community, we officially ended campaign at $771,919.
Janice Myers, who led this year’s campaign, has moved into the presidency for
2008. Jeff Cowan from RCB Bank will be the 1st Vice President and chair of the
2008 campaign. Jeff
served
as the 2nd Vice President and Asst. Campaign Chair last year. Also serving as a
loaned executive with Evans and Associates, ONG and Bank of the West.
Mark Detten with Eastman National Bank will move from the board of directors to the executive committee as 2nd Vice President and Asst Campaign chair. Dr. Doug Major, Pioneer Technology Center begins a three year term as Treasurer, and Kristi Hayes, Ponca City News takes on the role as Public Relations chairman. Donna Trewitt continues as chairperson of the Admissions and Allocation Committee. Rhonda Stolhand from Stolhand Heatingand Air remains on the executive committee as past president.
