Jeff Cowan United Way Campaign Chair 2008-2009

Jeff Cowan, President of RCB Bank/Pioneer will serve as United Way campaign chair for the upcoming 2008/2009 campaign. 

Cowan is deeply committed to our community and to United Way’s mission of improving lives. Cowan has a long history of volunteerism in Ponca City which goes beyond his involvement with United Way. He is the Treasurer for the Ponca City Public School Foundation and University Center at Ponca City Foundation.  He is a board member of Ponca City Energy, serves on the Pioneer Technology Incubator Advisory Board, and is presently first Vice President of the United Way Board of Directors. 

Cowan will serve as board President in 2009. With the campaign approaching, Jeff is working with United Way campaign director, Melissa Young to start setting goals, update accounts, and create new ideas to make this a successful campaign. As campaign chair, Cowan will help coordinate the 14-member campaign cabinet as well as the 10-15 loaned executives and more than 50 campaign volunteers who provide pledge packets to local businesses.  

“United Way is such an important part of our community.  And, I am committed to the goals of the campaign to help support our member agencies as well as ensure that each and every individual has the opportunity to give.” states Cowan. “United Way is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life--a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family, and good health,” continues Cowan.  

Jeff is the President of RCB Bank/Pioneer and has more than 27 years of banking experience. He is married to Felecia who has been employed with Bowker Ford for 25 years. Together they have one child; their daughter Jenny is a senior at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
